I use GifCam to record my screen, save this as a gif file and embed those gifs in my blog posts. For this usecase this is the best tool i’ve ever used.

Another great tool is ScreenToGif, but i prefer GifCam over ScreenToGif because of the minimalistic design and the simplicity.
